Melissa's events are mostly in south Florida and are listed below . Ginny's events are mostly in north & central Florida and are listed here. If you have a garden-oriented event where either of us could speak, please let us know.  Email Ginny or Melissa to make arrangements.  Thanks.

Friday and Saturday, April 26-27: Keynote speaker, book signing, American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Annual Conference, Florida Affiliate, open to Extension agents and teachers, must pre-register
 Sunday, April 28: Pinecrest Gardens Farmers Market , free and open to public, Come to Bee Heaven Farm's organic farm booth. Melissa will have books for sale and signing from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm; market hours are 9am-3pm.

 Saturday, May 4, 2013, Southwest Community Farmers Market at Tropical Park, Bird Road, Miami- more info soon, save the date.

 Sunday, May 5, 2013: Urban Growers Community Farm and Gray Mockingbird Community Garden present Organic Methods for Vegetable Gardening in Florida; 1:00 pm, Gray Mockingbird Community Garden, 2000 North "D" Street, Lake Worth, FL 33460
 This book signing event will be the only one where both Melissa and Ginny will appear together.

Sat/Sun, Feb. 23-24, 2013: 9am-5pm each day, paid admission only, $20/person: Fun and Fit as Family, part of South Beach Wine and Food Festival, at Jungle Island, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami, Florida 33132. Melissa is creator of Florida Blue's Edible Garden Pavilion, and will be on-site all weekend in the pavilion. Come see her and Chef Aria Kagan, get a book, or bring yours to be signed.

  Wed., March 6, 13, 20, and 27th, 2013:  Brownsville Farmers Market, at Jesse Trice Community Health Center5361 NW 22nd Ave., Miami, FL, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Melissa will be at this Urban Oasis Project "boutique" farmers market; books available to buy and get signed by author.

March 9, 2013: City of Miami Gardens Recreation and Fitness Expo, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, FREE, open to public, at Betty T Ferguson Recreational Complex, 3000 NW 199th St., Miami, Gardens, FL 33056.    Friday, March 15, 2013: Slow Food Miami's  Snail of Approval Tasting Party, 7:00-10:00 pm
at the James Royal Palm South Beach, 1545 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139. Melissa will be set up in the lounge area with books, ready to sign for you! This event is $85.00 per person, go to www.slowfoodmiami.com to buy a ticket. Come to FREE USDA Community Day the next day if tix are sold out!

   Sat. March 16, 2013: Community Day at the historic USDA Subtropical Horticulture Research Station ("Chapman Field"), 10 am-3:00 pm, FREE and open to the public, at 13601 Old Cutler Road, Miami, FL 33157, between Pinecrest and Palmetto Bay. Melissa will be there exclusively to launch the book in Miami's horticulture community.   Sat. March 30, 2013: Upper Eastside Farmers Market at Legion Park, Biscayne Blvd at 66th St., Miami, FL, 11am to 2:00 pmFREE and open to public. Buy a book, Melissa will sign it!

 Friday, April 19, 2013: Edible South Florida Magazine Launch Party, 5:00 to 7:00(?) pm, Free and open to public, but get there early, space may be limited. Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Ave., Coral Gables, FL. Melissa will sign and sell books.

 Sat. April 20, 2013, morning only: Green Life Miami Festival at Jungle Island1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami, Florida 33132. Book sale and signing 10:30-11:30am; signed copies will be available afterward  in Jungle Island gift shop.

  Sat. and Sun.  April 20, 2013: Food and Garden Festival at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden,10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables, FL 33156. An activity-packed festival featuring 34th Annual Spring Plant Sale. Melissa will have a lecture at 1:00 pm on Saturday, followed by a book signing, then will be there all weekend, look for Urban Oasis Project table. Ask for a signed copy of the book at the Shop at Fairchild! Admission fee charged, free to members, see www.fairchildgarden.org
