North FL Events

These are Ginny's events (listed in chronological order) where she will be speaking or signing books, which are open to the public. She will also be speaking at Master Gardeners meetings and garden club meetings, but since they are not open to everyone, they are not listed.  Melissa's events are mostly in south Florida and are listed here. Ginny's events are mostly in north & central Florida and are listed below.  March 23rd Florida Wildflower & Garden Festival 9am to 3pm
Ginny will be a vendor at this great festival. In beautiful and historic Deland, there is free parking and free admission. The festival will be located on Indiana Ave. between the Athens Theater and the Volusia County Courthouse.

April 2 FNPS Citrus Chapter meeting at 7 pm in Beverly Hills, FL

April 3 FNPS Pawpaw Chapter meeting at 7 pm in Daytona Beach, FL

April 5th & 6th Huge Native Plant Sale in Kissimmee, FL
Sponsored by four FNPS chapters (Condradina, Cuplet Fern, Pine Lily and Tarflower), this will draw from all of Central Florida. Ginny will be a speaker and a vendor. Friday 2pm - 6pm and Saturday 8am - 2pm. Ginny will speak at 2:30 on Friday and 9:30am on Saturday--the talks will be different so you can come to both of them and not be bored! April 8th FNPS Sumter County Chapter meeting at 6PM

April 9th FNPS Nature Coast Chapter meeting at 7 pm in Land O'Lakes, FL

April 13 &14th Spring Fever in the Garden in Winter Garden, FL
Ginny will be a vendor at this great two-day event in beautiful downtown Winter Garden. There will be live entertainment, kids activities, food vendors, garden items, and plants galore for sale. Free admission and parking. Veteran's Park on S. Park Ave., Winter Garden 34787 Event website.

April 18th FNPS Pine Lily Chapter meeting at 6:30 pm in Kissimmee, FL

April 20 & 21, 2013 EPIC Gardenfest in St. Augustine Saturday, April 20, 9 am - 5 pm
Sunday, April 21, 10 am - 4 pm. Ginny will be a vendor at this annual event. Located at the St. Johns County Extension property: 3125 Agricultural Center Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32092. April 22, 2013 Earth Day at Vero Beach Book Center at 6PM
Ginny will give a presentation at the Vero Beach Book Center at 6pm. April 27 & 28, 2013 The Green Thumb Festival in St. Petersburg (9am - 4pm)
Ginny will be a vendor and a speaker at this fabulous annual gardenfest. On Saturday at 11am she'll talk about organic gardening and at 2pm she'll talk about sustainable gardening. May 3rd Slow Food First Coast Slow Down event at Intuition Ale Works 6-9pm

May 4th Presentation at the Lyonia Environmental Center 2pm - 3pm
Ginny's presentation will cover habitat creation for urban/suburban properties. Lyonia Environmental Center is located at 2150 Eustace Ave., Deltona, FL 32725.  This event is free and open to the public.

May 5th An author signing at the Grey Mockingbird Community Garden.
This book signing event will be the only one where both Melissa and Ginny will appear together. The signing starts at 1pm and other garden vendors will be there as well.

May 9th FNPS Longleaf Pine Chapter at 6pm in Pensacola, Fl
Ginny's presentation covers Ecosystem Gardening. This chapter covers Florida's western Panhandle region. Florida Native Plant Society (FNPS) chapter meetings are open to the public. May 11th Tallahassee Nurseries at 10am

May 13th Northeast Florida Sierra Club meeting presentation 6:30pm

May 17th & 18th, 2013 FNPS Annual Conference in Jacksonville, FL
Ginny will be signing books on both of the conference days at lunchtime. This is a fantastic conference, which anyone may attend, plus on Saturday afternoon there is a hands-on workshop for homeowners on how to integrate native plants into your landscape. See the conference website for details and to register. (You do not need to register for the conference to purchase a book from me or any of the other authors. Also, the native plant sale is open to the public.)

May 20th, 2013 Columbia County Master Gardeners Event

June 10th FNPS Cuplet Fern Chapter at 7pm in Sanford, FL

June 15 An open house event at Sunrise Jubilee Farm in Baker County
An afternoon celebration on the farm at 3:30pm in Baker County. "This is an open house for the Farm. We were invited to be a part of Ginny Stibolt's book Tour featuring her new book "Organic Methods for Vegetable Gardening in Florida." We will also have face painting, hoping for a hayride, looking for some local artisans to join us, a community potluck..(so please bring an amazing dish you can share). June 29 Penney Farms "Treasures in the Attic" 8 - 11am
This event will be held at Martina Kohler Park on Clark Avenue. The proceeds will benefit J.C. Penney Memorial Scenic Highway. The 3-mile stretch of Florida 16 in and around Penney Farms has been designated for preservation and enhancement. Ginny will be a vendor.
